I love a good pun and the Breakfast Friends Forever Stamp Set from Joy Clair Stamps is FULL of them!!! I was so excited to receive this stamp set and start playing around with, but there were just too any combinations to strictly make one card so I made six instead. These are all very CAS designs and I used a very limited supply list to create these cards. Also, because I used only one stamp set, they fit together perfectly for a card set that you can either gift to someone or use up yourself! Make sure to watch the video tutorial below for the full run down on how I put this CAS Card Set together!!
I am not only on my own blog and YouTube Channel today, but I am also over on the Joy Clair Stamps blog as well. So, if you want the full written tutorial be sure to head over there and for a more condensed version keep on reading below!!
There are so many great combinations that you can use with this stamp set, you will never run out of ideas! Because I wanted to keep all off my cards very CAS I used very limited supplies and also I kept my cards smaller, more technically a 4-Bar size. If you want to check out how to make a 4-Bar card size you can head to this Blog Post that is all about making card bases.
When making such CAS cards I often like to add stamping on the inside of the card as well, which I did on each of these cards so be sure to watch the video tutorial to get the full detail on that! Also, I like to spend a bit more time on my coloring. I used watercolor on plain white card stock so I really had to be careful of the amount of water I added and work in layers, but one trick I like to use is to add a ground to each of the stamps to really add some interest and depth to the stamping. To finish these cards I added enamel accents to only three of the cards and left the other three CAS on their fronts.
This was such a fun stamp set to use and even after making six different cards, inside and out, with it I still cannot wait to pull it out again! The images and sentiments in this set can all be combined in different ways each time, so it will never feel like you’ve used the same set even if you give the cards to the same person. And let’s not forget the puns in this set are just awesome!!
