#CDDMonthly & More Stamping with Dies

It is a busy day today! Not only do I have a post for the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop,  but I also have a card for the #cddmonthly challenge! Now, if you wanted to enter a card into the Craftin Desert Divas monthly challenge, but you don’t have any CDD stamps, there is a FREEBIE digital stamp up for grabs for the Coffee Lovers Hop, that also fits perfectly with this month’s social media challenge! But today, for my #cddmonthly card I wanted to do a little more stamping with dies. You can watch the video tutorial below to see exactly how I put this card together!

ENJOY!!

I used a few different die sets from Craftin Desert Divas for this card, starting with the Inside Scalloped Circle Dies. I cut the largest circle in this set from both a plaid patterned paper and from white card stock as well. Then, using the little flowers from the Crazy Stitch Frames Die Set and also the ferns from the previous die set, I cut these all from fun foam and mounted the die cuts onto acrylic blocks with double sided adhesive. These would be my stamps for the card.

Using those stamps and several colors of dye ink. I stamped on the center of the Scalloped Circle, using the white card stock for this. Be sure to watch the video tutorial to see all of the stamping and hear a few tips and tricks for this technique. With my wreath stamped, I mounted both the inside of the circle as well as the outer plaid frame onto a 4.5″ x 4.5″ square notecard using double sided adhesive.

Finished Card 1

To finish this card I made a black banner with white embossing with the “Wishful Thought” sentiment set. I stamped Wishing You on the black banner and heat embossed with white, then on a white card stock I stamped “a speedy recovery” in black dye ink to tuck underneath the sentiment banner. I mounted both into the center of the card. Finally, I added a few dots of Ranger’s Enamel Accents in black and white to add some embellishment.
