Let’s Make a Card (4-Bar)

Some time ago, during Craftin Desert Divas January Release, I created this 4-Bar card using the (new at the time) Panda Holidays Stamp Set, and shared it across Social Media. Today, I wanted to share the video tutorial with you. Whenever I create any of my cards, I almost always record the process, but I can’t always share all of the videos at once. That would be too much of an overload and completely unsustainable, so I hold a few back and share them at a later time, like I’m doing today. You can watch the full video tutorial below to see exactly how I put this 4-Bar Card together.

ENJOY!!

To start this card I first used the plain stitched rectangle in the Fancy Frames Die Set to cut a piece of white card stock. This would be my panel where all of my stamping would take place. Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I started stamping and masking my scenes. I had created several masks from Inkadinkado Masking Paper beforehand so I could easily mask out my scene.

Starting with my Pandas who were in the forefront of the scene, I stamped both down onto the white card stock panel and then placed their masks over them to protect the images from more stamping. Moving onto the Build A Scene Stamp Set, I stamped the branch on the top panda to make it appear as if he was sitting on the branch. Next came the grass border which I did stamp a few times to have it stretch across the entire panel. Finally, I masked off the grass and stamped the fence a few times to complete the scene. I also stamped “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set in the top right hand corner to complete all the stamping on this card.

To finish this card off I simply pulled off all of my masks and moved onto coloring. Using my alcohol markers, I quickly and simply colored in the scene. Finally, I popped the entire panel onto a 4-Bar top folding note card using fun foam and double sided adhesive.

I love this card design! The size and layout make it perfect for any kiddo’s birthday! Whenever I make cards for my son to take to a birthday party and give with his gift, I am not naïve, and I know the card is the LEAST exciting part and it will end up being recycled or in the trash and that’s ok! Making these smaller CAS cards is my solution to being able to stand up to the roughness of little hands and a little less product in the landfill!
