See Through Treat Bag

Today is such an exciting day because Craftin Desert Divas is showcasing the brand new Treat Bag Die Set!!! Mindy Beverly, who designs the dies over at CDD, has once again went above and beyond with this die set! It is such a well thought out set and so incredibly useful! It is the perfect size to fit little treats for the classroom, holidays, or small gifts. Also, it can be decorated anyway you want so it can be customized for any occasion, holiday, recipient, etc. Finally, it can mixed and match with all the other die sets from the CDD Shop and the stitching matches perfectly! If you want a closer look at this brand new die set you can watch the New Release Highlight Video and also another video tutorial is below sharing how to mix this die set, with another from the CDD Shop to create a see through element on your treat bag!

ENJOY!!

This treat bag is so simple to put together and has so many possibilities! It is completely customizable to any occasion, holiday, or recipient you might be making it for. Here’s a quick diagram on how I went about putting the treat bag together for this project. The only modification I made is die cutting the smallest circle from the Inside Scalloped Circle Die set into the center of one of the treat bag die cuts. This would be the front of the bag and serve as the see-through element.

Directions

Where the scalloped circle die cut was made I inserted a piece of acetate inside the box to make a window and then glued down the Inside Scalloped Circle over the acetate opening. I also die cut the flowers and ferns included in the same die set, assembled them, and adhered them to the left side of the opening with glossy accents.

A great addition to this design would be to use Staz-On Ink of heat emboss your sentiment onto the window opening, however, I die cut the largest tag included in the Treat Bag die Set from white card stock. To finish off the tag, I stamped the “Sweet Treats” sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in gray ink and tied the tag onto the handle of the bag with twine.

This little treat bag is the perfect size for so many little treats. I chose to dress mine up with a bit of kraft crinkle paper and insert a few gumballs. My little one loved carrying this around and picking out the gumballs every once in awhile!
