Hello Everyone and welcome to a new month and new inspiration board for the #cddmonthly challenge!! Today, I am sharing my first card inspired by the mood board and a video tutorial on how I put the entire card together! If you are new to the Craftin Desert Divas Challenge, be sure to head over to the Facebook Group and read all the details so you too can play along! And be sure to watch down below for the entire video tutorial on how I put this fun summer birthday day together!
As always with the #cddmonthly challenge, there is a fabulous mood board. Head over to the Facebook Group to see the mood board for this month, it’s fabulous!! I decided to pull some very pastel colors and also ice cram as my themes for my card. For the background, I pulled all the two individual ice cream images from the “Happy Trails” stamp set and stamped them in different pastel dye inks to create a nice background.
For the stamped image, I used the ice cream truck from the same stamp set and after coloring it in with my alcohol markets, I quickly fussy cut it out. Also, I stamped, colored and fussy cut a small ice cream to fit in the little pig’s hand. To put the front of the card together, I layered up the die cuts onto an A2 side folding card base using double sided adhesive to hold everything together. I also added a few clouds to finish off the scene as well!
For the inside of the card, I colored in the rainbow die cut with some pastel colors and adhered it, along with the cloud die cut, on the left side inside the card. I also stamped the “Wishing You the happiest birthday” sentiment from the Wishful Thoughts stamp set to complete the card!
