Have you ever loved a stamp set so much, purchased it, and then it sits for months? I know I can’t be the only one! That was exactly the case with the Hello Lovely Stamp Set from Concord & 9th. This set is a larger set that can be layered or used to create a watercolor look with ease and it is GORGEOUS!! Not to mention it has everything you need to create a fabulous card in one set. So after having this set for several (I’m too embarrassed to even say how long it’s actually sat), I decided to finally make a card with it. The card I made today is very CAS and is a great design especially for multiples. You can watch the entire process down below!
Because this set includes stamps to create a watercolor effect to color in the large bouquet, this card was super simple to throw together. I started by stamping the large bouquet, using my MISTI, with Rich Cocoa (a dark brown) Dye Ink onto a piece of white card stock. I left part of the image hanging over the left hand side to add a bit of interest.
With the larger bouquet stamped I started filling it in with the solid stamps and my Distress Inks. These don’t fit the images in the bouquet perfectly, but they give more of a messy watercolor look, which is perfect for those of us who struggle with lining up layering stamps perfectly!
Finally, I added a bit more splatter with some Versamark Ink and heat embossed with copper embossing powder. I also embossed the Thanks sentiment, which is included in the stamp set, with the same embossing powder. I mounted the finished panel with dimensional adhesive onto an A2 top folding white card base.
This card was amazingly quick and I love the way it turned out. I hope to get this set out again soon and continue to play around with it’s possibilities!
