A Quick and Easy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone! Today I am sharing a very easy birthday card made with the Little Monster Color by Faith Stamp Set! Mixing and matching stamp sets and using sets in unexpected new ways is one of my favorite things to share with you all. So today, I am doing that with a Bible Journaling set. I created a kid’s birthday card with the Little Monsters Color by Faith stamp set, all I had to do was combine it with the Hello Sentiments set from the Everyday Collection. You can watch the full video tutorial down below to see exactly how I did it.

Starting with three of the little monsters from the set and my Memento Tuxedo black ink pad, I stamped and fussy cut the images from white card stock. I used Memento so I could color in the images quickly with my alcohol markers. You can use any medium on these little guys and they will come out soo adorable!

To add a background on my card, I used Distress Inks that matched the colors I used on my monsters. Ink blending through a stencil, in this case a circle stencil, is a super easy way to create a quick background and add so much color and interest quickly. I inked directly through the stencil onto the A2 top folding card base. I also ink blended a gray striped pattern (through a stripe stencil) onto a card stock panel that would hold my little monsters.

For the sentiment I did a bit of selective stamping and created the sentiment Monster Birthday Wishes! I heat embossed the sentiment on a black card stock panel, with white embossing powder for a quick pop and to add some interest to this CAS card. After assembling the card entirely, you can watch the full run down in the video tutorial, I also stamped on the inside of the card to really finish off the entire look! I used another set I haven’t used in awhile, Let’s Celebrate, and you can find more inspiration for that set HERE and HERE!

This little monster card is sure to be a hit with my older son! I always struggle with cards for his age and this is bound to be one of the first ones picked for the next birthday party! If you are interested in the sets I used on my card today, you can find them all linked down below! Thanks for spending a bit of time with me today!! Happy Crafting!!
