I have a VERY exciting blog post and video tutorial for you today!! Today is day of the Joy Clair Stamps new release reveal!! This release is packed full with with 13 new stamps sets, but this year we are doing something a little bit differently for each release. Instead of bombarding you with all of the sets on one day, we are splitting up the features each day to show you more inspiration with each set. I am super excited about this new approach and also for the set I get to share with you today!! It’s called “I Think You’re S’Whale” and it is soooo much fun; I especially love the sentiments in this set! To see how I put my card together today, you can watch the video tutorial down below!!
The first part of creating this card was to make the striped background. I used masking tape and my paper trimmer to quickly make all different widths of tape to create a fun background that I then ink blended over to add color and create those stripes. Super simple!
I complete the outside of the card I did a bit of coloring, with my alcohol markers, on all of the images included in the “I Think You’re S’Whale” set and fussy each one, as well. I also did quite a bit of die cutting to create a circular scene on the front of the card. Be sure to watch the video above to see all the details on creating that scene and also the flag banner sentiment!
The outside of the card is always what I focus on when creating my cards, but I do like to dress up the inside as well! I knew EXACTLY the sentiment I wanted to go with!! As I was looking over the new sets that were coming out, I seen this sentiment and literally laughed out loud!! I couldn’t wait to use it on a card for my husband and our sometimes crude humor!!
Be sure to hop along with all of the designers today! We are featuring four new sets today and there are so many wonderful projects!! And don’t forget to keep checking back over the next few days as we feature more of the new sets that Joy Clair is releasing!!
We will be picking one winner for each day of the release – a total of four lucky commenters! So be sure to leave a little love at each stop along the way!!
If you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my card today, you can find them all linked down below! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
