Quick Father’s Day Cards with Joy Clair Stamps

Hello Everyone!! With Mother’s Day behind us this year, it is time to now honor the Dads! The Joy Clair Stamps Design Team is doing just that today, and showcasing the amazing Father’s Day Stamp Set!! This set is great and has quite a few images that I haven’t seen in any Father’s Day set and are so incredibly unique. Today, I wanted to take this one stamp set and share three different very quick and simple cards that were made with very minimal supplies. These cards could be easily replicated and made within 5 minutes!!! Be sure to watch the video tutorial below for all the details!!

Like I said above, I wanted to share a few different ways to use this set and make some very simple and quick cards that could be easily copied. These cards are what I came up with and each one took about 5 minutes to make from start to finish. Also, I really tried to keep the supplies I used to very basic and easy to find items, most of which you may already have in your stash!

To keep these cards quick and simple the die cutting is very basic and all done with white card stock, the stamping is all done in black dye ink, and the coloring with alcohol markers. To keep the coloring even more simple I kept each colored image to one color – no shading was used at all. This type of coloring could be done with Sharpies if you don’t have artist alcohol markers.

Because these cards are meant for men, I wanted to keep them pretty masculine. In order to do that, I didn’t add any embellishment, except for the Ranger Enamel Accents. Without embellishment your cards can be a bit boring, so to spice them up a bit, I made sure to use dimension and other accent pieces (like the white gel pen lines) to add interest in other areas.
