It is always such an exciting day when Joy Clair Stamps releases their new sets! And today, I get the privilege of sharing the new “Barn Party” stamp set with you on this New Release Blog Hop!! And if you are just starting out on my blog, be sure to head to the bottom of this post and start at the BEGINNING. You do not want to miss any of the inspiration and amazing new stamp sets that are being show cased today!! Also, be sure and leave a comment AT EVERY STOP along the way so you are entered into the giveaway!! If you want to see how I made my enormous stamped scene on my card today, you can watch the video tutorial down below!!
The very first step for this card is stamping the stamps and fussy cutting. But good news! If you have an electronic die cutting machine, you don’t need to fussy cut! Joy Clair Stamps offers FREE SVG CUT FILES with all of their stamps. You will automatically get the digital download during your check out process. After stamping and fussy cutting, I colored all of my images with my colored pencils and OMS.
The background of this card was done with a lot of masking to keep it nice and flat, since the stamped pieces would be adding quite a bit of dimension already. I used die cuts and plain computer paper with distress inks to sponge out my background. Be sure to watch the video above for all the details and how to get your layering of masks just right!
The last thing to finish the front of the card was adding all of my little animals and barn to finish off my scene! This was SO MUCH FUN!! I added dimensional adhesive on the back to really make the scene stand out, but if you do need to send this card through the mail or dimension isn’t your thing, you could mask this entire scene and color for an easy and flat card! So many possibilities!! I also added a sentiment and a few stamps to the inside of the card to finish it off as well!
I am in LOVE with this set and have so many ideas for using it again and again and again! If you are curious or have any questions about supplies I used on my card today, they will all be listed and linked at the very bottom of this post. But first I want to give you the Blog Hop list so you can continue hopping or go to the beginning and start the fun!! Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!!
