A DIY Beach Scene Christmas Card

I think it is so easy for me to get caught up in my own little world and forget there are so many different climates that Christmas is celebrated in! Today’s card is great for those who like to add a little beach and sand into their card designs for Christmas! If you want to see how to make your own beach scene for Christmas you can watch the video tutorial down below!

This card is made up of a lot of pieces so the first thing you want to do is get all of those pieces stamped, cut, and colored! I used Versafine Clair Ink and fussy cut each image. However, I want to remind you that Joy Clair has FREE SVG Cut Files! So if you have an electronic cutting machine, you don’t have to worry about fussy cutting or paying extra for the cut files! After cutting, I colored in the images with alcohol markers.

There were a few pieces left to put together. I cut a kraft piece of cardstock with a hill border die and a blue piece with a wave border die. Both pieces I added a bit of distress ink to add more depth. I also ink blended a sky onto a cardstock panel. Then I put the card together. Be sure to watch the video tutorial for all the details!

As you know if you visit my blog or YouTube often, I like to decorate the inside of my cards as well! This one is super simple. I used the same Tropical Penguins stamp set to stamp a quick sentiment and added a few coconuts! Because I didn’t want the bleed through that alcohol marker will give, I used a watercolor marker to color in the coconuts on the inside.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s card and video tutorial! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my card today, you can find them all linked below! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
