Hello Everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying this brand new release from Joy Clair Stamps as much as I am!! There are 8 new sets releasing this time and I was awarded the pleasure of working with the new 3D Poinsettia stamp set!! This set is a larger 6 x 8 set and it is quickly becoming a favorite!! Not only do I have a thing for poinsettias around this time of year, but the concept is so amazing and you can create some very beautiful flowers for your card with it!! It also includes several fantastic sentiments to finish off your cards!! I have created two cards with this set today! Here’s a look at them both!!
These cards have very similar layouts but are also completely different. For the first I watercolored the images and layered them up to create the true 3D Poinsettia on my card!! I also heat embossed in gold for a different look!
For my second card, I did quite a bit of masking and created an equally beautiful, but flat poinsettia! I also switched up my coloring medium to colored pencil and heat embossed in white.
On both cards I used the branches and berries around the flower to create some nice contrast. But I did use two different sentiments to show you the different options. Also, on the center of the 3D flower, I used the center included in the set, but on the flat flower, I used Enamel Accents (Nuvo Drops would also work) for a more raised center.
If you haven’t already, be sure and hop along to see all of this amazing new release! Here’s the full list!! Also, you can shop the entire new release in the Joy Clair Shop HERE!!!
